General store components overview
Your storefront was initially created with a template and/or theme. Both the template and the theme control the way your store is shown and operates to your customers, both from a design and functionality perspective. Going further, CloudCart allows you not only to select from a subset of different themes but also deeply customize the theme you have selected. This is achieved by using all the options under Storefront >> Widgets, and chose which component to add, remove of configure from each of the main component categories. Below you can see a few options and to operate with them in order to further customize your store, so it can work and look like your store!

The following widgets are available on this page:

 


Home page slider

Customers will first see the home page of your Store and we made it available to have full control of its appearance and functionality. You can easily set a variety of options and make the perfect first impression to your customers. At Storefront >> Widgets >> Home Page Slider, you can see the basic settings for all Sliders that you will add.

  • Basic Caption
    The basic caption is a text you can add to the slider. From the dropdown menu, you can choose if you would like to have a basic caption for your sliders. Its position cannot be changed, and this caption will appear on the bottom, in the middle of each slide.
  • Controls
    The controls buttons (arrows) appear on the left and the right sides of each slider and allow your customers to change which page of the slider they want to see. From the dropdown menu, you can choose if your customers will have the option to move to the next/previous slider on your Home Page.
  • Amount
    You can set up to 5 slides for your Home Page. You can choose this value from the dropdown menu.
  • Indicators
    The Indicators appear on your Storefront as circled buttons on the lower area of the slider and show which slide page is currently being shown. Their position cannot be changed and they appear on the bottom, in the middle of each slide. You can choose from the dropdown menu whether the Indicators appear or not.
  • Autoplay
    With this option, you can choose from the dropdown menu whether the slides will switch automatically or manually by the customers. If you choose “yes”, another three options will be available:
    1) Interval (by seconds)
    2) Cycle (continues from the start after the end)
    3) Pause (does not continue after the last slide)

Once you set the options above, you can continue with the settings of each Slide. There are several ways to customize your Sliders:

  • Basic Caption
    Fill the input box with the text you would like the customers to see as a Basic caption of your slide. Its position cannot be changed and it will appear on the bottom, in the middle of each slide.
  • Choose image type from the dropdown menu
    1) Add storage image
    Click Add image and choose from the uploaded files that you already have in your storage (find more information about your uploaded files here) or click + Upload Files to choose image from your computer.
    2) Add external image
    Choosing external image will activate an input box under source. Copy the image location of the file and paste it in the input box.
  • Link
    From the dropdown menu, you can choose if you want your slide to be related with a link and if the link will lead to a specific store section.
  • Caption
    Note: This option is related to option Link, and it won’t be visible if you chose No link in the option above.
    If you chose the type of link in the option above, fill the input box with the text you want the customers to see on your slide. Clicking on the text will lead the customers to the link you set in option Link.
  • Desktop Carousel content
    Fill the input box with the text you want to appear on your slide. You can easily configure the description text with styles, different fonts, different formats, etc.
  • Mobile carousel content
    Fill the input box with the text you want to appear on your slide when your Store is opened from a Mobile device. You can easily configure the description text with styles, different fonts, different formats, etc.
  • Carousel content horizontal position
    Choose if the Carousel Content and the Caption will appear on left, central or right horizontal position.
  • Carousel content vertical position
    Choose if the Carousel Content and the Caption will appear on top, middle or bottom vertical position.

After setting all the options above, click Save Widget.

Banners (Top & Bottom)
We offer you to customize your Store using Banners situated on the top of your Home Page. You can choose if you will use this option for advertising your own Store Sections or redirect Customers to other external links. Find and set your Banners on the top of your Home Page by going to Storefront >> Widgets >> Banners. Here you can:

  • Activate/Deactivate Banners
    To make your Banner(s) visible, click the toggle button on the right side. To hide your Banner(s), click the toggle button on the left side.
  • Amount
    You can set up to 6 Banners visible on your Home Page. Choose from the dropdown menu the amount of the Banners wanted.
  • Banners
    Here are the options you can set for each Banner that you will add:
    1) Banner type
    Choose from the dropdown menu if your Banner would be image or script type.
    2) Script
    Fill the input box with the script wanted.
    Note: This option will be available only if you chose type script in step 1)
    3) Choose image
    Choose from the dropdown menu whether your image will be from your storage or external. If the image is from storage, click + add image, select the image wanted and click Choose. If your image is external, copy the image location and paste it in the input box.
    Note: This option will be available only if you chose type image in step 1)
    4) Link
    Choose from the dropdown menu if you will set a link to the Banner and choose where you would like to link to redirect your Customers.
    Note: This option will be available only if you chose type image in step 1)
    5) Caption
    Fill the input box with the text that your Customers will see on your Banner image.
    Note: This option will be available only if you chose type image in step 1)

The options above should be set by every Banner you would like to have.
After customizing your Banners Top, click Save Widget.

 

 

Social links

An important part of your Customer relations is constantly providing them information about your service and reminding them that they are always welcome to your Store. We offer you an easy way to show your Customers the accounts of your Store in different social networks.

1) Fill your social links
In Storefront >> Widgets >> Social links you will see four input boxes for the four most popular social networks. Fill your social link below the social network you’d like to be shown in your Store.
2) To enable a social link, click the toggle on the right side, to disable a social link, click the toggle on the left side.

After managing your social links, click Save Widget and your Customers are already able to follow your activities every day.

Add this share

The social networks are part of our daily life. They provide unlimited flow of information so that more and more users are taking advantage of the possibilities to share favorite activities. As your Store will become the best place for online shopping, we recommend to use the option Add this share.
Buttons for quick and easy share in any social network will be visible next to the details of each of your products. Follow the steps below to set up your Social Shares.

1) Go to Storefront >> Settings >> Add this share.
2) Click the toggle to the right to activate Social Shares or the toggle on the left to deactivate Social Shares.
3) You can manage the Layout of the buttons for Social Shares by choosing from the dropdown menu:

  • Large
  • Small
  • Custom

4) Show counter

  • Yes
    If you choose yes, the counter will be visible and every customer will be able to see how many shares the relevant product has.
  • No
    If you choose no, no counter will be visible.

5) Show compact

  • Yes
    If you choose yes, a button with the + sign will be visible next to the social networks. This button will provide the Customers with many other social networks, except the already visible on the page ones.
  • No
    If you choose no, no other buttons, except the social networks, will be visible.

6) Show top services

  • Yes
    If you choose yes, your Customers will see the top social networks Facebook, Twitter, Google, Pinterest.
  • No
    If you choose no, no icons of social networks will be visible for your Customers.

7) UI click
Note: This option is manageable only if your Show compact option is enabled.

  • Yes
    If you choose yes, your Customers must click the Show compact button to see other social networks.
  • No
    If you choose no, your Customers will see other social networks without clicking the button.

8) Dropdown box direction
Note: This option is manageable only if your Show compact option is enabled.

  • Bottom
    The Customers will see the suggestions for other social networks with bottom direction.
  • Top
    The Customers will see the suggestions for other social networks with top direction.

After setting the options above, click Save Widget.
